I was part of the art department on the SCAD produced short film The Singing Duck. As the set dresser I was in charge of making the set look like the set of a talk show, which was the setting of the film. I added a microphone for the host to talk at and cups for him and the guests to fake drink from. Those and other set dressing, including a stool, I was able rent from the SCAD prop storage, which was helpful for the producers who were working on a budget. I also made signs for the talk show audience to hold, that said things like "Quack! Quack!" and "We love you duck!", who was a guest on the show. We had an actual duck on set, which was a unique experience working with a live animal. It was also good experience working on a set like this which ran like a professional production with a full crew. There art department was a full team where we all pitched in on different projects and helped out wherever needed on set.
